What cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can control them.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function, remember preferences, or understand usage — always within the limits described here and applicable law (ePrivacy Directive / national implementation and GDPR). Similar technologies include localStorage and scripts loaded from our own or partner domains.
2. Cookies and storage we use
We minimise cookie use on the marketing site. We do not load Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or other audience-measurement tools. The cookie banner records your preference locally; it does not disable the support chat or any other feature of this website.
- toutatis_site_lang / toutatis_portal_lang — language preference so the site and client portal stay in the language you chose (up to 12 months, first-party, Strictly necessary). The URL path (/fr/, /en/, …) also identifies the language.
- toutatis_cookie_consent — your banner choice, stored in localStorage (not a cookie) so we do not ask again on every visit.
- Form security — hidden timing fields and rate limits on contact and newsletter forms; these are not advertising cookies.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — when enabled on a form, Cloudflare may set a short-lived cookie to distinguish people from bots (strictly necessary for spam protection).
3. Support chat (Chatwoot)
Live support is provided through Chatwoot hosted on our European infrastructure (chatwoot-web.node.totatus.com). The widget loads so you can contact us without extra steps. It may set session cookies or similar storage to keep the conversation open.
This is a support service, not advertising. You can also email us at info@toutatis.eu or use the contact form. Closing the widget or clearing site data ends the chat session in your browser.
4. Client portal and hosted ERP
The client portal and hosted ERP use session cookies (and similar storage) for authentication, security and interface preferences (for example theme). Those are required to operate the logged-in service and are described further when you sign in.
5. Mobile application
Toutatis Connect uses device storage and secure tokens for login and offline sync rather than browser cookies. Manage app data through your device settings or by logging out in the app.
6. Managing cookies
Use “Cookie settings” in the website footer to reopen the banner and record a new choice. Currently there are no optional advertising or analytics cookies to turn off; both banner choices leave the site fully usable.
You can also clear cookies and site data via your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may affect language preference, form security and the support chat.
7. Updates and contact
This policy may be updated alongside our Privacy policy. Questions: info@toutatis.eu
